Lobster Roll Luke’s Lobster is not originally founded in Tokyo. It was a branch of casual food brand from the US, founded by a guy named Luke Holden. I won’t be writing about how it was founded because the story can be read on their website. He has multiple locations in the US and just recently introduced his brand in Tokyo. I have never tried Luke’s Lobster before in my life, but have heard great stories about it from friends that were visiting the JAPAN about the great Lobster Roll. So I joined the queue to order the original Lobster Roll. The price was pretty reasonable, I believe it was around 1706 yen for a normal size Lobster Roll. Some say it’s a bit pricey, but lobster is a luxury item anyway. The bread roll wasn’t too big, but the lobster meat was very generously placed on the roll. You can see how the meat filling almost overfilled the roll. I also love the fact that the meat was cut into chunks instead of fine slices. It just shows that they emphasized the lobster meat to be the star here. Awesome presentation. Taste wise, the presentation was on par with the flavour. The lobster was cooked and seasoned beautifully. However Luke’s Lobster Roll didn’t have lots of mayo in it, or rather, none at all. I couldn’t taste it but the lobster meat was quite sweet already. The roll was buttery and soft, tasted very nice with the lobster. This is my first time eating the lobster roll and it feel really worth it to try.
